The tumbona CORD chaise lounge embodies the collection’s fundamental concept, seeking the difficult balance between minimalist lightness and generous comfort. The design is inspired by the long Scandinavian tradition of using paper cord in furniture, fused with the functional elegance of GANDIABLASCO’s Mediterranean outdoor lifestyle.
The piece is constructed on a thin, airy satin AISI 316L stainless steel structure. The areas that come into contact with the user, such as the resting base, are woven with 100% high-tenacity and highly resistant polyester rope, ideal for outdoor use thanks to its exceptional durability against UV rays, mould, abrasion, and water absorption. This rope is woven as corded slats to create the bases and the seat.
Thanks to its high-performance materials, it is suitable for use in both interiors and exteriors. The CORD chaise lounge is the central piece for relaxation within the collection and seamlessly integrates into resting areas. Its functional design, based on corded slats, allows for pleasant air ventilation during warm summer days. The designer lounger strives for aesthetic longevity, fitting into environments of historical, contemporary, and future styles.
